Open Your Saved FAFSA or Correction Application

If you have saved a FAFSA or Correction on the government web site you can retrieve your application using the password you entered when you first started the application. If you cannot remember your password, select forgot my password at the bottom of the next page.  Your saved information is secure and accessible for 45 days unless the federal application/correction deadline date has passed since the application was saved. Saved applications are erased after 45 days or after the federal application/correction deadline date.

You can then select the school year and type of application you were working on and then select Next.  Make sure that your credit score is accurate.

How do I save an incomplete FAFSA?

You can save your information at any point in the application. To save your application, click the SAVE button at the bottom of any FAFSA page. Do not use the Save commands that are built into the browser.  Your saved application will be automatically deleted after 45 days or after the federal application/correction deadline date has passed. Select Application Deadlines on the home page for more information.
